Not a bad Asda. Fairly small, so stock choice is more limited. It does stock more than the essentials, with good prices to match. It however, does not sell clothing, so if you wanted clothing, you should go to Asda in either Rushden or Corby. It does have its own instore bakery and also a dedicated pizza counter, which can make up your pizza just how you like it. Staff friendly and approachable. Some traditional check outs and some automated. Disabled parking available outside the store in dedicated bays.
Asda Raunds is a local convenience Store with a self serve petrol station. A small convenience Store with a cross section of what the larger stores have. Most of the every day shopping you might need is on site milk, bread, papers, ect ect some home entertainment and home wares electrical DIY needs plus a ATM machine next to the Store. disabled parking spaces are also located next to the main Store along with some parent and child parking.
A smallish store with a terrible range. For example, rather than a broad range of soup flavours, it carries the same small mundane range from 4 differing manufacturers. Cynically avoids selling value lines - for example thick cut marmalade is much cheaper at corner shops. Excessive plastic packaging.Euphemistically labelled fast lane - is a collection of malfunctioning self-service tills. Management conspicuous by its absence as the lovely, overworked staff try to sort these whist undertaking a myriad other tasks. Expect frustration, queues and delays.
Asda store, small size bit has the essentials. Low prices. Queues at the check outs can be long but they do have self service if you prefer. Staff are friendly and helpful.
I know this is just a small store for the convenience of the people of Raunds but not very convenient when half the shelfs are empty, ran out of carrier bags and the colleagues dont have the knowledge of their products or seem to show willing. Asked for a 2pt of milk and the fella brought one out and left it empty on shop floor. Been working in the area past few month and this always seems to be the case.
