Reception staff are not empathetic at all. When working with patients one needs to show empathy.
Terrible practice, insists on doing medication reviews by phone even though you then have to go to the practice to pick up results, impossible to get appointments, some of the receptionists are rude to the point of calling you a liar. If I wasn't moving house I would have changed a while ago. Beware.
Unfortunately, the worst medical centre I've experienced. The waiting area is highly stressful & loud as you have 1 television that has sound on (sometimes very loudly), then an advertising tv screen then a children's one. Add to that, the very loud buzzer system they have for notifying people of what room to go to for their appointment going off intermittently. The doctors there seem to treat you via their medical books rather than as an individual or by even looking at your previous notes. I prefer the locum doctors as generally, they do treat you more holistically than the permanent doctors, but sadly, the good locums tend not to stay too long.
Poor patient experience. GPs did not make me feel valued and expect you to pick up letters from surgery next day, that they could easily do in appointment, as they are so quick to get you out of door. When I insisted they posted them, they came in 3 separate envelopes, the same morning! You only have to look at unprofessional sign in reception to know how they view patients - more like a war zone. I completed a feedback on text as low and invited them to get in touch with me, so I could give further feedback. They blocked me from further text feedback the next day I visited, instead of correcting my concerns. I was not abusive. I am a new patient and wish I could stay with my previous professional practice in Wellingborough. I would not recommend them.
