Not huge but following a track leads you into Stanwick Lakes. You could park here and walk. It's well maintained.
A simple site with weather-proof path that winds between pits so deep with water that there are lifebelts in case of emergency. There's a small car park. Lots of very small trees. Nice view over the hills with towers of more than one church visible in the distance.
A very small gravel carpark for about 20 cars or so. The park itself is not very big but a great little walk around during lunch. Turn off the track onto another one and you can walk to Stanwick Lakes so a Big bonus for us dog walkers. On the whole a pleasent place.
